I'm a teacher, mindfulness practitioner, gardener, mistake-maker, recovering perfectionist, mom, wife, and learner. I offer tools and practices from my direct experience and only what I personally trust to be both spiritually supportive and deeply practical.
I've been practicing meditation for about 18 years, both on and off the cushion. It has been transformative, anchoring me in the practice of awareness rather than attachment. Rather than making my mind quiet and peaceful (which I kind of hoped for!), it offers me a simple, practical way to be curious, open, and loving with myself and others, even when things don't go as I expect.
I am grateful to have studied mindfulness meditation with my core teacher, Suchitra Davenport, as well as with Thich Nhat Hanh, Adyashanti, and the Mindful Schools team. Other studies complement and supplement meditation and mindfulness, including healing practices from a variety of disciplines.
If you're struggling, I am happy to listen deeply and offer you some of the gems I've uncovered on my own unconventional and evolving path. It really can get easier.
