Are you dealing with big feelings--yours and/or your children's? Join us to explore simple practices to help you feel the feelings rather than suppress them or act them out. Learn and practice:
Classes include mindfulness practice, teaching, questions and discussion to help each of us apply the work to our own situation, and coffee/tea.
Parenting Teens: It's Not What You Think!
Wednesdays, 7-8:30 pm
February 19 & 26, March 4
3-week mini-series, $75/person or $60 each when you register with a friend or partner
Parenting teens is a wisdom practice! It's--
one part re-parenting ourselves (because we relive the power struggles or emotional challenges of our own teen years),
one part compassion practice (for ourselves and them),
one part toddler wrangling (because they need us much like a toddler needs a parent),
one part letting go (because 'cute' is pretty much over),
and two parts not taking ourselves too seriously.
Using power to control your teen is very likely to backfire. They actually need connection more than anything else.
Join us to learn about and practice parenting teens in a loving, connected, and clear way.
