Mindful Parenting Classes
The Art of Mindful Parenting
Wednesdays, 9:30-11 am, October 31-December 12 (no class Thanksgiving week), $150/6-week series
As parents in this culture, we're surrounded by, as Mary Oliver says in The Journey, voices "shouting their bad advice."
Rather than rules about how we (and our kids) should be, parents need loving presence, deep listening, support, shared vulnerability, and simple practices that expand their natural knowing and connection.
In this series for new and continuing students, join us to cultivate both formal mindfulness practice and 'relational mindfulness' as a parent; connect with your senses; make sense of your child; and let go of ideas of being perfect. And there's also coffee or tea!
Opening Your Heart with Mindful Parenting
Mondays, 9:30-11 am, November 5-December 10, $150/6-week series
Do you ever feel inadequate as a parent? Or that your child is not enough or too much? Join this group of new and continuing students to explore parenting as an opportunity to open the heart more deeply.
Each week, enjoy mindfulness practices that support you to show up right now in the present moment, to deepen your open-minded awareness, and to let go of the stories of how things should be. Share struggles, ask questions, and open to inspiration with a supportive group.
Practice mindfulness and mindful parenting at home with a focus on finding pleasure in the simple moments of life. Incorporate these practices into parenting.
